roses for the birthday girl

i've come to accept the fact that surprises from my b will be as rare as an elephant roaming around the city. so imagine my reaction when he gave me 3 long stemmed red roses right after our staff left the office.

i cried because of the overwhelming feeling it gave me. i wasn't expecting anything for my birthday for i know that it will be a normal day just like the past birthdays that i celebrated.

though i said that i don't like flowers and chocolates as gifts because flowers will dry up and chocolates will be fast devoured on, i'm still a woman, and every woman likes to be given surprise sweet nothings time and again. and whatever it is, it's always the thought and the gesture that counts.

to my b, thank you, thank you, thank you. it's one of the things that made my day. but it's not only the flowers that touched me. it's how you did it and it's those words you said to me that struck me the most. iloveyousomuch!
