pei pa koa

it's always a disaster whenever i'd have the colds. it first starts with an aching tonsils followed by the sniffles, an itchy throat, then a terrible terrible cough that lasts for more than a month. my usual remedy of neozep, tuseran, solmux don't really work so i'd end up going to the doctor who prescribes me with more antibiotics and lozenges. this time, however, on the first signs of that dry painful cough, i bought myself a large bottle of pei pa koa - the chinese cough syrup a friend told me about.

apparently, pei pa koa is already a famous brand. looking at it's container, i was a bit hesitant to try it out coz i remember those bitter tasting syrups from my childhood whenever i'd get sick. the thick consistency of pei pa koa isn't bitter at all but it isn't devoid of that medicine taste either. what i only like about it is that menthol feeling once it graces my throat. ah, relief in an instant.

my cough is now gone within just 2 days of drinking the syrup. knowing how i've always been when i get sick, this is concrete proof that pei pa koa is really the best cure for cough. i highly recommend this syrup especially now that cough and colds are prevalent due to the kind of weather we have these days.
