i just had to share our mega pig out dinner at yakimix, the reason why i still can't sleep as of this moment.

i saw it last night when b and i were contemplating on how to spend the rest of the night due to change of plans. it's a relatively new resto with opening wreaths still displayed at the entrance. it has a brilliant lighting which entices one to go in and see what this resto can offer. but one thing i liked about this place is that all their tables come with couches which i think is really great because it gives us customers a comfortable and relaxed way to eat.

yakimix is an eat-all-you-can sushi and grill restaurant. there are a few cooked korean and japanese dishes plus a selection of sushi that you can readily eat. but the real fun is in picking up fresh meat and seafoods and cooking them on the table top grill. be careful though coz there will be occasional oil spatters most specially when there's fat. i, for one, was a victim of oil spatter on my face!

be sure to save a space on your stomach because they also have a selection of desserts: fresh fruits, fruit salad, mango sago, tarts, brownies, inipit, macaroons, mini muffins, cakes from red ribbon and ice cream from selecta.

the buffet is priced at 580 pesos for adults + 55 pesos for unlimited drinks of any kind. right now they have an opening promo where you can have the buffet for only 499 per head. i'm not so sure though if the promo will last only until the end of december but i'm pretty sure i heard one of the staff say to my dad that it's until january 31 next year.

anyhoo, my family really enjoyed the experience at yakimix so much so that all of us went out of the resto with bulging tummies.

I don't recommend this restaurant to anybody at all. They have the worst service. Took 20 minutes to serve our drinks. You'd die of thirst before they actually "refill" your iced tea. The manager just walks around and doesnt really bother assisting the customers. The waiters are just as clumsy I tell you. I was with our foreign clients and I felt extremely embarrassed. I requested for our bill and it took another 30 minutes. They even got my bill mixed up, what's worse, they lost my credit card and insisted they have returned it to me. You can only imagine how much of our time they've wasted. So if you're looking for an eat-all-you-can buffet for 600++, I'd say go for Tong Yang Jupiter/Makati instead.

oh, i'm sorry to hear about your not so good experience at yakimix. maybe you went there on a weekend? we've been back there once on a friday and there were lots of people. good thing we were early and that the only inconvenience we encountered was the parking. other than that, service is just fine.

I agree that they don't have the best service. But Yakimix was still a rather good eating experience. Personally, I prefer this place over the P400 buffet at ResortWorld. Try it out, goodfor2 :)
