it's thursday night but it feels like a friday night to me coz b and i just had a special dinner which we usually do on a friday. well, blame it on discovery channel's pizza paradise show, it had us craving for some really good thin crust pizza with stringy mozzarella cheese. we originally decided to have pizza at cibo but then i remembered that there's this pizza place in bf that has been featured in several blogs and in gma 7's "kay susan tayo" (hahah..can you believe my brother was watching this show).

chi's brick oven kitchen is a small cozy place wherein you'll really feel at home once you enter its doors. on the end of the room stands the brick oven kitchen so that you can see the chef prepare your food. the servers are also very accommodating and friendly which is one noticeable thing in homey restos like this. unlike those cold, unmannered crew i described in the last post, here at chi's, you can really be assured that all your needs are kindly attended to.

we ordered rigatoni in 3 cheese sauce, all-meat pizza and brick oven chocolate cake a la mode. the pasta is good and perfectly al dente but the highlight of our meal is of course the pizza. b and i are both so glad that the pizza is just the way we wanted it--thin, meaty and oozing with mozzarella. and of course, the chocolate cake was heaven. though i'll have to admit that at first, i was disappointed coz i thought it was just this dry cake topped with ice cream and cherries. but once i sliced a piece of it, chocolate started flowing out revealing a moist cake. just superb! oh and i almost forgot their green iced tea which i really really loved. i was expecting a regular apple flavored iced tea but what i got was a large glass of green somewhat herb-y concoction that has a really unique flavor.

that was truly a lovely dinner. sorry i don't have photos to show how delicious the food are but i highly recommend it to everyone especially those who love cheesy thin crust non-commercialized pizza. we'll be back there for sure.
