aaargh..it's almost been a month since the boracay vacay and i'm still not done with the series. i was (and still) not able to go online coz dad's out of the country again and mom is using this laptop for them to chat. i was able to borrow it today coz dad currently doesn't have an internet connection. my lola also stayed with us the past week so i've been a "refugee" in my mom's room coz lola's using mine. that means no private moment to put my thoughts to writing.

anyway, this part of the series is all about the fun things we did at bora. even though i'm a scaredy cat most of the time, i'm still a sucker for adventures. quite ironic, no? actually, some of my things-to-do-before-i-die includes bungee jumping and sky diving. haha..the guts of this girl! no really, i'm serious.

when i first learned about parasailing a few years ago, i was really intent on trying it the moment i get to bora. the videos (this pa-cute probinsyano guy and this cool couple) i found in youtube somehow gave me the chills (whoa..look at that height!) but i still would love to do it. i was actually pushing my b to bring enough budget for this activity coz from what i heard, it doesn't come cheap.

one with the fishes...

unfortunately, the original plan of going parasailing didn't materialize coz we chose to do the more sulit and cheaper one, snorkeling.

one fact about me is i don't know how to swim. the thought of my feet not touching the seabed scares the hell outta me that's why i don't go in water levels that go above my chin. it's actually my first time to try snorkeling. our boatman said the water is 8 feet deep which means my feet won't be touching the seabed and it'll also be impossible coz of the corals. even with life vests on, it took a lot of convincing from b and our boatmen before i finally went down the water. boy i'm glad they convinced me. it was beautiful down there! lots and lots of fishes that are literally in our faces.

b and i were so engrossed in being with the fishes that we didn't realize we were going a bit too far from our boat until our boatmen called us. b knows how to swim a little but since i was clinging to him, it was difficult for us to move closer to the boat even with my feet kicking hardly on the water. thankfully, manong, who is a very good swimmer, was kind enough to go down the water and pull us. hehe. manong also came up with the great idea of putting down a rope we can hold on to so that they will just pull it if ever the current shoves us too far again.

after snorkeling, i was exhausted. and i feel full from all the sea water i drank while snorkeling. i don't know if it usually happens to first timers like me, but water just keeps getting into the snorkel and goes straight to my esophagus. heh..free water.

sailing into the sunset...

probably the best way to enjoy the sunset is lazing aboard a sailboat, or paraw sail as they call it. this boat is wind driven so you'll definitely have a relaxing moment with the vast sea and the gorgeous sunset on the horizon.

and if you're lucky, you'll have very kind and friendly boatmen who'll engage you in a nice conversation.

frolicking in the clear water and fine fine sand...

this is the finest sand i've ever seen. it doesn't hurt the feet unlike the pebble-y sands in batangas and puerto galera. and it's really amazing how the sand is still cold even if the sun is scorching hot.

i love how the sand looks underwater. it has striations formed by the waves of the sea. cool!

isn't it lovely?

up at willy's rock...

another must do in boracay - photo op at willy's rock.

h.h.w.w.o.t.b.p.s.s.p.

even if sur is 20 minutes walk from station 2 where most restos are located, i still prefer walking by the beach instead of riding a tryc at the main road. the feel of powdery sand on my feet, the smell of the sea breeze, and the hand that i'm holding at that moment completes the perfect picture of beach bliss.

at night, the beach is super low tide. as you can see, the striations in the underwater sand is visibly exposed. i wanted to have our picture taken in there but the darkness that surround the water is just so creepy.

i also love this shot of pier one..the lights look like meteors falling from the sky.

ahh..the sight of all these..makes me wanna live a simple life there..
