give my b a kilo of shrimp and he'll probably eat it all. it's one of his most fave seafood and this recipe i got from my mom is, for him, the best shrimp dish ever. and i definitely agree.

ingredients: 1/2 kilo shrimp, 3 cloves minced garlic, sprite or 7up, catsup, soy sauce, brown sugar, 2 bird's eye chilis chopped.

procedure: saute garlic in olive oil until golden brown. remove half of the garlic from the pan to be used for topping later. with the remaining garlic in the pan, pour about 1/4 cup of sprite or 7up, 3 tbsp soy sauce,2 tbsp catsup, 2 tbsp sugar, salt and pepper. note that the measurements of these can vary as i only eyeball it when i cook. just flavor it according to your taste. stir to mix well. when it boils, add the shrimp. be careful not to overcook it. when almost done, add the chopped chilis. top with the browned garlic bits and serve. separate the sauce to be used for dipping.

note: this is best eaten with the hands! slurp, peel, dip and bite. ;-)
