two sundays ago, at the same night that i saw those kid hamsters, i found out that bona coffee in mall of asia boardwalk is already open. for me who, by the way, is not a coffee drinker, bona coffee and CBTL tops my list of best coffee shops around primarily because of their tea lattes.

we used to frequent their branch at westgate alabang whenever we want a quiet, peaceful conversation on life or business strategies in a cozy and relaxing ambiance. our fave chillout spot there is at the bar stools where we can see the baristas prepare our drink and design our muffin plate.

gentle O and choco banana muffin one night at westgate

i got in love with one of their concoction of the month called gentle O. it's a tea-based drink infused with lavender -- an herb that has soothing qualities -- which makes it great for the then insomniac me.

it has been a long time that we haven't been going farther south because we've just been too busy. plus traffic on that route is sooo dreadful so we just choose to settle our worn out souls in manila or makati area. that's why i'm very giddy with delight at this new bona coffee branch in moa. it has the same cozy interiors, same old-fashioned oven in one corner, same conversation-inducing atmosphere, same peaceful surroundings, same good food and friendly baristas, same bona coffee that i love.

they serve a wide array of drinks from coffee, tea, hot choco, steamies (milk) to italian soda and all are low-fat low-cal to boot. aside from their freshly baked muffins, they also offer very filling sandwiches that will surely satisfy your tummies.

i have no photos to show but that night i had some sort of hot choco (forgot the name), belgian choco for b, and robust roast beef sandwich to share. chilling out at bona coffee is always a happy experience. i just hope it does not get overcrowded like starbucks (or any other overrated coffee house) in the future.

oh and btw, the moa branch is open 24/7. i can't wait to spend a hearty breakfast while watching the sunrise there one of these days.
