this post was supposedly under the boracay series because my cebu pacific misadventure happened on our flight home from boracay. due to lack of blogging time and super delayed boracay posts, i figured the series would be better off without that unpleasant experience. although i've read some blogs about cebu pacific's frequent delayed flights, i didn't mind it at all coz with probably the cheapest packages and special promos, i still planned to fly using the said airline. but upon knowing that my b's sister's flight from singapore was delayed for 4 hours and that they will be landing in cebu instead of manila, i was displeased.

1 hour before our flight from kalibo to manila, a beautiful voice blared on the speakers bearing bad news. our flight was cancelled. definitely cancelled. i was shocked. because it's my first time to travel by plane, i remembered images i see in the news where people spend the night at the airport due to cancelled flights. omg! if that will be the case, b and i would rather exhaust our resources and go back to boracay. just the thought of feeling that powdery sand on my feet again turned my frown into a wicked grin. but when we went back to cebu pacifics's ticketing station, i heard another bad news, they will take care of our food and accommodation for the night. aww..no more spending another night at the beautiful beach of bora. heh. we were later transported to an eerie place in the suburb called beachcomber inn. i didn't like the place at all. the rooms have weird smell and the beds are so springy it felt like we're being swallowed by it. thankfully, b and i were lucky to have our travel agency client rebook us to the next earliest flight while most of the other passengers weren't even sure if they can go home the next day.

during that time, instead of getting really furious about what happened, i just considered it an extra adventure on my first plane ride. but now that i'm looking back at all the hassle it caused us and all the others, i'm really disappointed with cebu pacific's well known crappy service. i guess it's probably the reason why they have cheaper rates. because you can't get the efficient and professional service other airlines can offer. but hey, if you don't mind going through the delays and misadventures, then this airline would probably be a practical choice.
