carbonara is probably one of the easiest pasta dish to make. if you have spaghetti (or any kind of pasta), eggs, cheese, bacon/ham in your pantry, then you're all set.

ingredients: 500 grams spaghetti, 4 eggs, half a block of cheese (use quickmelt for a creamier sauce)-grated, about 6 strips of bacon cut into small pieces, 2 cloves minced garlic

procedure: cook spaghetti according to package instructions. while pasta is cooking, beat eggs lightly in a large bowl and add the grated cheese. fry the bacon/ham then saute garlic until golden brown. add the meat and garlic to the egg & cheese mixture. once spaghetti is cooked, immediately mix it with the egg mixture and add 1/2 to 1 cup pasta water. the heat of the spaghetti will cook the egg. serve garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
