during that last trip to megamall, i saw this stall selling such eye catching sweets..
caramel apples! i have read about these stuff before and i'm a bit intrigued on how to eat it.
i know that apples are hard to bite and caramels annoyingly cling to the teeth. if the act of biting an apple off the stick seems like much of a challenge for me, what more if it was covered with gooey caramel? i really can't imagine myself eating caramel apples-on-stick like they do in the US. i didn't expect to taste one either unless of course i was lucky enough to step foot in that country. but thanks to sanfo treats, i was able to have my first taste of those caramel apples.
i bought 3 pcs of different flavors as pasalubong for my family who also love sweets like i do. upon reaching home, i excitedly unwrapped one of the apples and sliced it to quarters.
i was right. taking a bite of that apple is like torture to my teeth. that combination of caramel, chocolate, and candy sprinkles are too much even for a sweet tooth like mine. what's even worse is that the caramel coating is falling off the apple skin so it was quite a messy sight. i ended up just eating the apples without the caramel. thank goodness the apples taste great or else i would've hit myself in the head for even trying that stuff when i know in the first place that it would be a disaster.
