we haven't worked for the past week coz we've recently moved office. in concept, it's just as simple as transferring all our stuff next door. but in reality, it entailed a lot of hard work that took us a whole week to set up the new office.

first day was repainting the rooms and glossing the wood parquet floor. since the paint was still wet and the smell was too much for our noses to handle, we let it dry first and moved our stuff the next day. we only hired a painter so b and i did everything from carrying the tables and computers to fixing the internet and telephone cables to installing the fluorescent lamp to mounting the newly bought window blinds to cleaning the window screens. it was actually my first time to experience such assembling work because having 3 brothers doing all the tough job at home leaves me sitting pretty in one corner just watching them.

the new office looked great. we designed the room in such a way that it follows some of the feng shui rules. while i'm really no feng shui expert, the design of the office was based from the feng shui concept i remember reading in a book my mom bought. i read it a very long time ago but based from what i can recall and understand, the important element in feng shui is the flow of chi or energy within a particular room or place. well, feng shui or not, what matters is that b and i both loved the outcome and are excited to finally start working again after a week of birthday celeb and office transfer.

btw, here's a li'l preview of my desk. you'll notice that the christmas spirit is very much alive in our new office. :D
