pinky pink

one of my best buys during the last time i went to the market...

pink guavas! i actually found them in the veggies stall to be used for cooking sinigang. i can't even remember when i've last eaten a pink guava but they're my favorite when i was a kid. these guavas remind me of childhood because we once had a guava tree in the corner of our backyard and me and my brothers would always check for the ripe ones almost everyday. mom says the seed core should not be eaten coz it's hard to digest (is this true?) but for me, it's the yummy part so i always hide from her whenever i gorge on them.
