b and i have long been looking for an airtight canister for our cookies and chips. we've been envious of my mom's set but we can't seem to find it in any home store. there's a nice one with metal clasp that we found at make room but it was a bit pricey at 650 each. after having dinner at pepper lunch atc today, we checked out rustan's hoping to find a cute yet elegant wall clock for our room which we've also been scouting for over a month now (how hard is it to look for a clock, huh?). no luck on the wall clock but i've enjoyed perusing all the kitchen stuff until i laid my eyes on the racks of canisters in the corner. when i checked on the first one that i liked, i was surprised to find out that it's less than 200 pesos. we even asked the staff if it's the real price because i really can't believe you'll find something that cheap inside rustan's. heh.
it's made of glass and i'm guessing a cheap kind, it doesn't have the metal clasp that i wanted but i like it's neat and orderly look. and besides, all three canisters for 510 pesos, who can't say no to that?
