chicago popcorn shop is found in the 2nd level south wing of the entertainment mall in MOA. if it weren't for the food blogs i've been reading, i wouldn't have known about this because it's out of the area where most of the food shops are. since the youngest brother is a popcorn boy (we always have a stock of microwaveable popcorns here at home), i decided to buy him one tin can of the popcorn people have been raving about a few months back.
i was ecstatic upon sampling the chicago mix --which is a caramel and cheese combo-- at the shop. and since we're mostly cheese lovers at home, i got 70% cheese and 30% caramel. it was a unique popcorn experience at first, with the sweet and salty flavors playing on the taste buds. but after a while, we all got a bit tired of it. the caramel is too sweet and while the cheese is probably one of the best cheese popcorn we've had, it's still not worthy of a tin can refill.
all this popcorn talk made me crave of this white cheddar popcorn we bought from duty free last may. i wasn't able to take note of the brand but i reckon it's with the row of bags of doritos and lays chips. now that, that is the best popcorn i've ever had. i'm hoping that when bigger bro comes back from japan this friday, we'll be able to make a quick trip to duty free so i can grab a bag or two of that popcorn and share it with you.
