stressing over the rain

i'm stressing over the rain. yes, i've been wishing for it because it's becoming too hot and humid these days. but i never wanted it to be this strong that it's already flooding outside. as soon as the water reached the pavement, i ordered b to move our 2 cars to a safe location. better be safe than sorry. i'm paranoid because this house was also a victim of ondoy and 2 other floods from the 90's. i was close to moving our things to a safe place but when i started putting our wedding albums to the upper cabinet, b just laughed at me. fine.

it already stopped raining hours ago but the floodwater is still a few inches inside our gate. the sewer that is spewing stinky water is just in front of our house and there's no sign of it stopping any time soon. i just hope the rain won't start pouring so hard again. if it does, i don't think i can get any sleep tonight.
