that pink stall in the neighborhood hypermarket always has a long line of patrons. i'm as curious as them but there's no way i would line up that long. in another mall, i saw a kid holding a cup of yummy-looking concoction and i got envious. thankfully, the people are lining up in the fried ice cream stall, which, by the way, is also another thing that i have yet to try, so there's just about 2 people in the scramble stall.
it looks good and really tastes like the scramble i used to have 23 years ago..the one we used to buy in a cart vendor at the school bus parking lot. but the scramble i know of consists mini tapioca pearls unlike now where one has multiple choice of toppings. back then, we kids weren't concerned if it's dirty or not. as long as we have 1-2 pesos to spare, then go buy buy buy.
in line with this nostalgic post on street foods of my childhood, there was also this yellow drink that i always buy from the manong who also sells gulaman. i dunno what it's called but it's a really refreshing drink, i tell you. i do hope someone would also bring it back.
